Plant Biology

MUSTAPHA Oba Toyin is a Professor of Plant Biology in the Department of Plant Biology, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. With special focus on Cytogenetics and Biosytematics of higher plants, his research interest includes employing molecular tools for delimitation of taxa and improvement of crop plants. He collaborates with researchers both nationally and internationally. He has publications in reputable local, national and international journals and Conferences. He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students, providing valuable guidance and mentorship. In addition to his teaching and research experience, he has held several administrative responsibilities which include Ag. Dean, Chairman, University Admission Committee, Head of Department, Faculty Representative, Senate Estimate Committee, Senate Research Grant Committee and Postgraduate School Board among others. Prof. Mustapha is a member of many relevant Learned Societies.
