About Us

Philosophy

The philosophy of the programme includes:

1. a design to provide a sound understanding of the concepts and methodologies of Plant Biology (Botany) in key areas that meet the needs of society;
2. production of graduates for postgraduate trainings to serve as lecturers in the tertiary institutions and researchers in research institutes, nationally and internationally;
3. produce graduates that will be able to compete favourably with graduates of other universities based on their scientific research, their contributions to knowledge and national development; and
4. prepare our graduates to be job creators based on their broad knowledge of the environment and its needs rather than being job seekers.
